THE GIVING TREES Take a tag from one of the Parish Neighbors Giving Trees located at the entrances to the church. Purchase the item listed on the tag and return it with the tag attached on or before the weekend of December 13th and 14th. PARISH ADVENT PENANCE SERVICE Prepare the way! Be ready for now you do know the day and the hour - December 2nd, 7:00 PM. Ten priests, no waiting! SCRIP HELPS EVERYONE SCRIP is being sold in the church/school foyer after all Masses every weekend. These gift certificates and cards make great Christmas gifts for friends and family AND/OR they can be used for your holiday shopping ALL while helping the parish at the same time. Click on the heading for more information. WREATHS ARRIVING SOON Wreaths ordered form the school should be picked up December 6th and 7th in the school hall. There will also be additional wreaths available for purchase. Thanks to all who have so generously helped our Parish Neighbors fill Thanksgiving Baskets for those in need. Food is still needed for Christmas and for the increasing numbers of unemployed. Your Thanksgiving offering envelopes support this good work as well . Click on heading for more information on what is especially needed. HARMONIA CONCERT Mark your calendars now for this wonderful Advent event - Saturday, December 20th at 7:30 PM. A limited number of Donor Tickets are available for $25. These tickets include reserved seating and pre-concert Tapas & Wine reception in the rectory. More information available soon. THE BRICKS ARE HERE FOR THE PARISH PAVILION The engraved bricks are in! Check out the memorial walk which leads to the recently constructed parish pavilion to find your bricks. FIRST SATURDAY DEVOTIONS Saturday, December 6th is First Saturday. There will be special devotions in the chapel following the 9:00 AM Mass. Little Shepherds will also meet in the Community Room following Mass. WELCOME NIGHT If you aren’t registered in the parish, but would like to join, call the Rectory Office (649-3090) to make arrangements to register at any time. Our next official Welcome Night is Thursday, January 15th at 7:30 PM in the Community Room. The entire family is welcome to come for this evening, which includes refreshments and a slideshow on all that the parish has to offer. Stop by the office, call, or email to let us know you’re coming. Perpetual Eucharist Adoration has brought many blessings to our community and to the individuals involved. As we celebrate hear the Gospel stories of God’s Son walking among us, consider offering your thanks and praise to our Christ our Savior and Brother in this beautiful and enriching way. PARISH NEIGHBORS COLLECTING FOOD FOR THE HOLIDAYS Once again Parish Neighbors is asking for your donations of non-perishable food items for those in need. GARAGE SALE LEFTOVERS? St. Luke’s Mission of Mercy could use items that didn’t sell, especially clothes and furniture for infants and children. Call or email the office for contact information. SCRIP CARDS AND GIFT CERTIFICATES MAKE GREAT GIFTS The Scrip Program, currently a success with our school and religious education families, is now open to everyone in the parish. SCRIP forms and envelopes are available at all the entrances of the church and people are available to take your orders or answer questions in the church school foyer after all Masses. By ordering SCRIP, you raise money for St. Bernadette’s without any expense to you, since retailers contribute a percentage to the parish. Take home a form with the details and consider making your regular household shopping dollars work for our community. Workers will be in the church school foyer after all Masses every weekend, orders may be placed in the school on Tuesday mornings, or you may use the form here and mail your order in. For more information, click on the link above. FR. PAUL’S COOKING CD “Food for Thought” is available in the Rectory Office for $11.00. More information is available at: www.odbtv.org. The Second Passages Ministry CD, entitled Keeping The Faith, that was promised at our recent Palm Sunday Presentation, is available for those who would like a copy. Please feel free to stop by the Rectory Office and pick up your copy. The CDs are available at no charge. Free will offerings are welcome and will be used solely to produce additional CDs for distribution throughout the diocese. Click on the heading for more information. FR. NUGENT’S BOOK Our retiring pastor’s wonderful book Spiritual Reflections in Honor of God the Father is still available in the Rectory Office. Price is $12 for one, $20 for two, $25 for three. PARISHIONER’S BOOK NOW ON SALE A newly released book entitled Open My Eyes, written by parishioner Kathy Wabick, is now for sale in the Rectory Office for $12.95. A portion of the proceeds will benefit St. Bernadette School. The book also includes a foreword written by Msgr. Nugent.
