PARISH NEIGHBORS PILGRIMS The gentlemen of Parish Neighbors were hard at work on Thursday, November 17th as they helped carry bags of food which were part of our Thanksgiving gifts to those in need. |

WREATHS & POINSETTIAS Members of St. B’s 8th Grade Class sold Christmas wreaths and flowers between Masses on Saturday, November 12th, and Sunday, November 13th. November 13th. |

GR8 GENEROSITY At the school Thanksgiving Mass St. Bernadette School’s Eight Grade Class donated to our Liturgy Committee hand-made angel ornaments and two large wreaths from their sale. The wreaths will grace the front doors of the church during Advent and Christmas. |

Volunteers from our parish were among those helping to pack 100,000 meals to be sent overseas through “Feed My Starving Children.” For more details and pictures, click the heading. |

END TIMES The liturgical year ended with the Feast of Christ the King, marked with majestic procession and incense. |

PREPARING THE WAY The blessing and lighting of the Advent Wreath on Sunday, November 27th marked the liturgical beginning of our preparation for Christmas as well as the official start of the use of the new Roman Missal.
The Children’s Choir has also begun preparation for Christmas as they rehearse for the 4:00 PM Christmas Eve Mass. |

MEN’S NIGHT Holy Name Society sponsored a Men’s Night on the Feast of the Immaculate Conception, Thursday, December 8th. |
|
Second graders signed their names in the registers as they began their preparation at the 5:00 PM Mass, December 3rd. |
|
RELIGIOUS RETIREMENT Sr. Rosemary offered a reflection, including the annual appeal, at two Masses December 4th. |

Two kinds of Ratatouille were featured at our Gaudete Picnic on December 11th. |

On December 11th, members of this year’s RCIA received the Word of God as they began a journey toward Easter. |

CHRISTMAS TREE LIGHTING After the 5 PM Mass on Saturday, December 10, Fr. Paul blessed the waiting stable and lit our new outdoor trees. |

Traditional Polish Christmas Bread was distributed at Masses December 17th & 18th. |

GIVING TREE GIFTS On Wednesday, December 21st, Parish Neighbors distributed Christmas gifts to those in need, including your gifts of food and the Giving Tree Gifts pictured here. |

Even without live trees inside the building, our worship space was beautiful for Christmas this year. Many people, working at different times, helped to make the church beautiful in the week before Christmas, including these gentlemen and others you can see by clicking the heading. |

On January 9th, Mary Travers-Murphy, executive director of the Family Justice Center, presented information on this widespread and serious problem and told how local facilities can assist the victims. |

Both public and private school third graders came forward at 5:00 PM Mass on January 7th to inscribe their names, indicating their commitment to actively prepare for First Eucharist in the spring. |

20+C+M+B+12 Fr. Paul climbed a ladder on January 7th (the vigil of the feast day) to inscribe the traditional Epiphany door blessing. |

PC COFFEE Teams of Our Lady began the new year January 1st by hosting the first Parish Council Coffee in honor of their patroness.
STABLE SHINES With the baby placed in the manger’s hay, our outdoor crèche told the story to all passers-by. |

SCRABBLEFEST On the morning of Friday, January 27th, word enthusiasts gathered to play scrabble to raise monies for literacy. |

SCHOOL PROMOTION To promote our school’s January Open House, parents spoke at Masses the weekend of January21/22
|

Pro-Life supporters gathered following the 11:00 AM Mass on January 22nd to pray for an end to abortion and for healing for all involved in abortion.

THROAT BLESSING School children received a special blessing at Mass on February 3rd in honor of the feast of St. Blaise.
KAIROS VISIT Kairos Prison Ministry worked with Confirmation candidates and sponsors during their session on Thursday, February 2nd.

SEDER MEAL A traditional Seder Meal helped students better understand our Eucharistic heritage.
TEDDY BEAR SUNDAY As a service project, on Sunday, January 29th the St. B Kindergarten gathered donations to give comfort to children at the Family Justice Center. |
